We are thrilled to bits to finally dive into more details about the forthcoming Season 13! In our today’s article, we will take a closer look at what story the trailer showed us, as well as all the new stuff we got to see in it. Is the thirteenth season going to be a real game-changer? Let’s find out.
The first season after the release of
The Destiny 2 forums won’t shut up about the possible changes and updates that are going to be a part of Season 13. Destiny 2 roadmap and season trailer are out now, which means that it is time to talk about the officially confirmed content we’re getting once Season of the Chosen kicks off. Here is what we know so far:
Old and New Strikes
Three strikes are coming to D2, two of which are actually the returning ones from the original Destiny, Fallen SABER and Devil’s Lair. The new one is called Proving Grounds, and it will also appear as a Nightfall. Proving Grounds will go live by the end of March.
And here we go again: you will have to fight off the Cabal army once again. Battlegrounds are the brand-new activity that will also be a part of the next season’s update. There is not much info on the mysterious Battlegrounds activity just yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
This is basically the same thing as in-game Olympics. The holiday event will be hosted in April, so there is plenty of time to prep yourself for it.
Gear and armor
As you probably remember, many Destiny 2 weapons were sunset. We’ve all been waiting for a word from Bungie that would explain the current situation. And even though there is still not much official info on the promised “25 weapons” that we’re getting in Season 13, Bungie has made it clear that tons of new armor sets and gear pieces will become available in the near future as well. The Praefectus Armor Set and Ticcu's Divination are the first confirmed titles, and the rest of those 25 weapons and sets will be announced anytime soon.
Are you ready to come face to face with the enemy? This season seems very promising, so let’s hope that it won’t fail to meet our expectations. The recent updates we mentioned above are not the only seasonal updates, so let’s continue our discussion of the stuff coming to the game down below.
Season of the Hunt will finish on February 8, which is pretty soon. S13 will kick off the next day, introducing a variety of new activities and, of course, a new story to follow. Let’s take a look at what the S13 trailed showed us and what it all means:
Don’t mess with the daughter of Calus
The recent trailer introduced not only a ton of fresh content but a new character as well. Her name is Caiatl, and she is the new Cabal leader. And, obviously, she’s now our main target.
You’ll definitely want to check out the new bow
This one is going to be worth purchasing the Season Pass for, and you’ll see now why. When you shoot this new bow, it splits into three arrows. What is more, according to the gameplay we could see in the trailer, one of the main features might be the ability to lock onto the object you’re aiming at. This feature is not confirmed yet, so let’s have our fingers crossed.
The Season Pass is going to be massive
Leveling up your Destiny 2 new Season Pass will be a completely different experience. It includes a large portion of unique content that you will get access to right after the season’s start, including an incredible armor set and the bow we have already discussed.
Customized powers are coming into play
It seems like we will get customized powers pretty soon. Some players spotted an interesting detail in the trailer. In some scenes, you can clearly see a Titan who is using his Destiny 2 Stasis powers with both hands. Quick reminder: at the moment, you can do that only with one hand. Does this mean that more powers or customization options are coming? We most certainly hope they are.
Season 13 will be overwhelming, so getting ready for it is the next thing you should do after watching the trailer and reading this article. New Destiny 2 strikes and other activities are about to be introduced, Bungie is planning on hosting a few special events, and players are readying themselves for the next battle. How can you not get lost in all this variety? Well, that’s not as hard as it seems. We’ve prepared something special for those who are looking for the best way to unlock some Destiny 2 armor and exotics, so read on for more info.
